Small Towns

I am very conscious that I represent lots of different communities over a massive 35, 702 km2 area, who have their own individual histories, identities and aspirations.

While I am proud to be the member for Mildura, the name of our seat does not adequately represent the diverse range of towns and communities we have across our electorate.

As your state MP, I will regularly be on the road and visiting all the communities across the electorate. Whether it be setting up a pop-up office in your town or attending important meetings and forums, it is my hope that you will see a lot of my team and I, as you deserve active, present and community guided representation.

You are the experts in your own communities, I will be relying heavily on your local knowledge, intelligence and engagement so that I can effectively advocate for our region’s small towns for infrastructure and services that will help our small towns remain vibrant and self-determined.

Early in my term as MP I commenced an engagement project with locals from all corners of the electorate about service and infrastructure priorities for our small towns, called ‘The Pitch.’

The valuable feedback I have received through the Pitch has already helped identify key priorities like roads, rail and tourism and provides me the opportunity to advocate for these things in a cohesive way.

The Pitch is just one part of my work in our small towns and I look forward to continuing to work constructively with stakeholders to make sure our small towns get their fair share of the electorate’s funding.
